Bortz Project

Second Story Addition (a design-build project)
Scott Bortz was referred by family members who were pleased with their experience with OHC. Scott wanted to add more living space to his Wyomissing home. He contacted Allen from OHC and discussed the idea of a second-floor addition. Allen designed the entire layout, which includes a bedroom, guest room, walk-in closet, and master bath. The guest bedroom features a park view, and the master bedroom has vaulted ceilings. Design challenges included supporting the addition over an existing porch area, and extending the chimney—both no problem when you are dealing with a design-build contractor. Other features of the Bortz project include double French doors on a master bedroom that leads to an outdoor patio.
