Dotterer Project
Design/Build
Jay Dotterer came to Oregon Hill with a question on how to add space to build an apt for his parents. After some design options and red tape required for zoning waivers and building permits Oregon Hill came to the decision to have an “Amish barn” delivered for his new detached garage. From there, we took the attached garage and adapted it into a kitchen and dining room area for them. At that point, we built a two story addition that included a bedroom, closets, and bathroom. An added bonus was giving them a basement for storage downstairs. Included in the “in-law suite” is three first floor entrances – one to the driveway, one to the deck, and one to the primary residence. We also included two basement entrances – one to the back yard and one to the primary residence.
Testimonial from the clientFrom start to finish it was a pleasure working with Allen and his team on the addition to our home. All involved were professional and had a strong work ethic. We had a bit of a challenging build site, but Allen was able to come up with a design that exceeded our expectations. The design fits perfectly with the existing lines of our house. Allen's experience really showed as we worked through the building process. I would highly recommend Oregon Hill for any of your building needs.
